"And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul" Acts 4:32(a)
Look and Live

Numbers 21:5-9 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, we have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

And the Lord said unto Moses, make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

Behold the Serpent of Brass

I want to bring to you the serpent, Jesus Christ. He was placed on a pole just as this serpent was. It was on an old rugged cross on a hill; a place called the place of the skull - Golgotha Hill. Dying on the cross was the most degrading and shameful way for a person to die to die on the cross to be crucified. People willingly looked down upon those who died on the cross. But today, look. "Yes," look at that same cross but see life today. See the source of ALL life. Yes, it's there at the cross. Why, there's no life outside of this tree -- this cross. I want you to look at that cross full of shame and sorrow and see LIFE, restored and given for lost humanity.

Look upon the man that was placed on the cross. The man that many regarded as only a prophet. Yes, look at the man who many, even in this very last and final hour, see nothing more than just a man. But don't you see He was and is more than just a man. He is life life eternal if you let Him be. He came through forty and two generations just for you today. He traveled such a long distance to allow you to hear this message of hope this message of life. Some of you are coming down to your last chance to receive life. Oh, you may say that you are living. You may even think that you are having the time of your life. But without Christ without the giver of life, you are merely existing. You haven't begun to live without Christ. He is life today. Look and live. Look and live.

Look and Live

See Jesus Christ as He was taken from hall to hall from station to station. Look at the mockers and those who took pleasure in His trial and crucifixion. Look at the onlookers who came to see "just another man" be crucified. Look at those scoffers as they voiced "He saved others, now let's see if He can save Himself." Yes, look ever so closely at those men who put the nails into His hands and those nails that pierced His feet. Draw even closer and see those men who gambled for His garments. Look at the one who pierced Him in the side. Look at Jesus' matted hair. Look up NOW into His face. "Yes" look into that face and see life. Look and live. Look and live. Look and live.

Isaiah 53:1-5 Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

After beating and dragging Him before His accusers, one after another, they took Him up to a place called Calvary. There, they placed your Lord and my Saviour upon the cross. Can't you see that He is no different than that serpent that was given for the people in Moses' day? He is no different than the serpent, if people would look, they would have life. We too must look at Jesus, our serpent on the wood yes, He is our sacrifice He's our spotless Lamb for all of humanity.

Can't You See?

Look and live. Look at Jesus Christ in all of His glory. Can't you see all that was done for you? My God, look today. Look and live. Look and receive strength. Look and become a new person. Many passed Him by as He was there on the cross and have wondered, "What is this all about?" "What meaneth this? What's the point? Why take the time?" "If He is the Son of God, let Him come down from there. Why, He saved others, but it appears He lacks the power to save Himself."

Child of God, nothing is what is seems. It seemed as if they had Him when they nailed His hands and feet to that wooden pole. It seemed as if there was no hope. It seemed as if Jesus was just another man an ordinary man. They thought nothing of piercing Him in the side. Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Hebrews 10:4-7 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Look up to Calvary's hill today. We will all have to meet our Maker. The footprints of Jesus are already marking the sand and His appearance is so near nearer than we know. Some have stated that once you die that's it that's the end of it. Child of God believe not every spirit but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. I John 4:1.

Luke 12:4-5 And I say unto you my friends, be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, fear him.

Just think, it was such a dark, dark day when Christ, our serpent, died on that pole. He gave all. God the Father couldn't even bear to look upon Him. Not because of a lack of love for His only Son but because Jesus bore our sins and God could not and will not tolerate sin. He will not tolerate sin in this life nor the one to come. Jesus, His only begotten Son -- God the Father had to turn away from Him. God the Father had to turn away or maybe all of humanity would have been destroyed. God turned from the sin that his Son decided to bear for each one of us so that we could live. Look and Live. Look and Live.

Jesus, being wrapped in a body of flesh, began to cry out to His Father. The Father with whom He had shared such fellowship. He began to cry from His innermost being "Father, why hast thou forsaken me?" Oh, how the angels must have cried that day. I am sure millions and millions of angels cried that day. He bore the sins of the entire world that day. He made the greatest sacrifice that would ever be made for a human being for all mankind. Because Jesus Christ went through all of that, you can look and live today. You can be all that God desires for you today. You can look and live. You don't have to remain the same. Just by giving your heart, even now, God will be able to move for you. The spirit of Lord will help you, even now, to give your heart to Jesus. Give your heart to that same Jesus that gave all for you and you too will began, maybe for the very first time, to live.

For some, it's now or never. The Lord, in His mercy and grace, has watched over you and kept you from oh, so much. But the time has come to answer this call. Yes, answer His call today. For you may never get this chance again. Why, Jesus Christ has been so merciful and kind but don't sin away your day of grace. Don't let today be your last chance to accept Christ. Don't pass up the greatest opportunity of your life. Whose to say this is not the Lord's final call to you today. Hear Him calling.

Don't let the devil deceive you today; hell is more than a myth. It is a place for a prepared people. Isaiah 5:14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure. Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, few there be that find it.

Hell, I say again, is a prepared place for a prepared people. Just as people prepare for dinner, work and feasting, people are also making preparations for hell by denying that serpent on the pole. Many, many, many more will die in this hour than in Old Testament days because of doubt and unbelief in our serpent, Jesus the Christ. He is the only answer for this generation. There will be no more sacrifice. He died once and for all for all mankind. There will be no more sacrifice for this perverse and wicked generation. Look and live. Look and live. Look and live.

Now is the Time of Salvation!

So many in Moses' day didn't dare look at that serpent and everyone who didn't look died. They rejected their only method of survival. Many decided that it wouldn't work, looking at that serpent on a stick; many have rejected Jesus. Many have viewed Him as only a man or a prophet. He was more than just a man. He is the Christ. Many have decided that they don't want what Jesus is offering life eternal. So many have rejected His call down through the ages. But the time will come when some will decide that they want God and Jesus Christ, the meek and lowly lamb who has tried numerous times to work with them, manifesting himself to them; He will no longer look and them. Jesus will no longer want you those who, maybe for the last time, reject His call of mercy. Now is the time of salvation. Now is the time to make your crooked paths strait. Now is the time to give all. Now is the time to leave that life of sin and look at Jesus and gain and live. Now is the time to Live. Now is the time to Live. Now is the time to Live.

Genesis 6:3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh. Jesus, our serpent on the cross is calling you today. Don't turn away. He is calling you with a blood-forgiving voice. He is calling you with a voice full of compassion and forgiveness. Jesus is calling to each and every one in this last and final hour. Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Why not live today. Why not give God a chance. He has been so patient with you. Why not, right now, answer His greatest call to you ever. Look and live. Look and live. Look and live. Look and live. Look and live. Look and live. Look at Jesus and live. This is no hour to take your eye off of Him. He is your guide.

Why not give God an opportunity in your life. You have tried everything else. You have sought love from all the wrong places. Now come to the one true SOURCE. God is waiting to use you if you would only give Him a chance. Please repeat this simple prayer with me, asking Jesus to cleanse you of all unrighteousness. He is able to restore, create, deliver, and most importantly, save you. He is willing. He is ready. He wants you, dear one. No one has ever loved you like Jesus. He does love you. Oh, God! I have sinned against you. I am so sorry! I have come home, and I'm going to serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. I do believe. I do believe that you are able to deliver me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I believe that the blood of your Son, Jesus Christ can make me clean and whole. Come on into my heart and help me. Help me, Lord. I trust and believe that through the blood, I can make it. I do believe that I can make it with your help. Oh, Lord, I want your help. Save my soul. Love me, Jesus. I must have your love. Love me, Jesus. Come on into my heart, Jesus! Come in!

If you meant that prayer, He has come.

Praise Him, He is Yours!
