"And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul" Acts 4:32(a)
Have You Lost Your First Love?

So many people in this hour are attempting to go forth to do God's work without love -- His love -- the first love. When the Lord calls you to do something, He first calls you to His love. He calls you into "the getting ready" stage. He calls you out of the world and into the potter's house.

You can't seek God with a sick heart. A sick heart is a heart full of anger, strife, jealous, and doubt. The only way that you can seek God is through His love. You can only fast a real bible fast -- through His love. And the same applies for searching His word. Love is the key that unlocks the door for you. You can only use the anointings of God through love. Love is a powerful tool and yet we take it so lightly. For love is of God (I John 4:7).

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do thy first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent (Revelation 2:4-5).

Remember when God became reality to you? You were overwhelmed with love for Him. Why, nothing else mattered. For days, it seemed as if you were so imbued in His presence, full of nothing but love. You must return to that first love, no matter the cost in this final hour. You must walk with Him like you did when you first received Him, when He first entered your heart. You were given so much love and you yielded to that love. You were so enticed and captivated by it all. Why God had filled your innermost being with His love. But somehow -- if you really ever accepted that love -- that love has not worked in your life the way it once did the way it did in the beginning. You must return to God like in the beginning. You must return to Him and He will hear you. He is waiting to answer your call.

And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart (Jeremiah 24:7). For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord (Jeremiah 29:11-14(a)).

Return to God return to your first love. He will be there to guide, lead and keep you. He will show you the way back to His love back to calvary. His road is blood-covered and blood-anointed. His road is paved with righteousness and holiness. Daily, He is offering you all of Himself for this, your last and final journey. His grace, goodness and mercy are all reaching your way, through the Holy Spirit, bidding you come home while there is yet time. This love call --- this great dispensation of God's longing and reaching for man will soon end.

And the Lord said, my spirit shall not always strive with man. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart (Genesis 6:3, 5-6). Surely, the time for God's loving humanity will come to an end if mankind continues to ignore such a love call. He will turn away from them, never to call them again.

If you have left your first love, you must go back "yes" go back to the beginning. Remember? It was so easy for you to leave all for the sake of Christ. You were so compelled to His mission and vision of reaching lost humanity. Love requires work and effort on each part. Whatever you did in the beginning, you must do the same to remain faithful. You must regain the vision of reaching lost humanity. Nothing else matters.

Longing for God

In the beginning, when we forsook all others, there was no compromise in us. We longed, craved and hunted for God. We sought after Him through fastings and prayers, moaning and groaning for His touch and waiting for His voice; we sought for Him all hours of the day and night. God and His greatness was all that we taught about. The day seemed to weigh on as we longed for His fellowship, companionship and intimacy. We have to prepare our hearts to seek God like we did in the beginning. We have to return to the God of our fathers. Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. Draw me, we will run after thee (Song of Solomon 1:2, 4). That was our cry, day and night. The days seem to drag on as we anticipated the fellowship that was ahead. Upon arriving home, we would rush to our "prayer chamber" to be with the center of our joy. We longed for the bright and morning star. Sure others mocked, yet we journeyed ever onward.

Have you lost your first love? God's love for His true people will remain eternal and unending. He will help you. He will bring you back to that place where you will desire His first love; where you will have the zeal that you had in the beginning of your walk with him. What joy you had then. What peace you had then. What joy -- full of glory. As you return to Him, He will once again give you the desire that you must have for His work. He will give you the desire to do His work with joy and gladness just like in the beginning. Through your heart, purged through preparation, He will give you a tender spirit of forgiveness like you had in the beginning -- the very beginning. Your tongue will love like it did in the beginning. There will be no guile. There will be no hatred no faultfinding. There will be no gossip. You will once again walk close to Jesus as you did in the beginning. Oh, how great it is walk hand-in-hand with the Lord, knowing that He holds all of your tomorrows in that nail-riven hand. Child of God, that's the only real thing that you stand on God's hand holding you. There will be nothing to fear and nothing to worry about. You will have great joy as you help Him make miracles for others. There are so many crying for this love. There are so many reaching, searching and longing. You and I will help them find the Christ. We will help them find the one that they are crying for in the night. You and I will help Jesus become living reality to all that are seeking Him with a sincere heart.

Hunting for God

Return to God. Return to your first and only true love. But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the water, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Fear not: for I am with thee [Isaiah 43:1-2, 5(a)].

It's a Love Call

Fear not. What precious words. What precious promises you have as you prepare your heart to return to your first love -- your God. He is waiting to answer your call of repentance. He is waiting for your longing cry of deliverance. Why wait any longer? End the separation now. Come to Jesus. He is waiting for you to want Him. He will not force Himself on anyone. You have free will free choice. Use it to come to Jesus. Oh, how He wants you. Oh, precious Jesus. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you (I Peter 5:7). But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy (I Peter 2:9-10).

Why not give God an opportunity in your life. You have tired everything else. You have sought love from all the wrong places. Now come to the one true SOURCE. God is waiting to use you if you would only give Him a chance. Please repeat this simple prayer with me, asking Jesus to cleanse you of all unrighteousness. He is able to restore, create, deliver, and most importantly, save you. He is willing. He is ready. He wants you, dear one. No one has ever loved you like Jesus. He does love you. Oh, God! I have sinned against you. I am so sorry! I have come home, and I'm going to serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. I do believe. I do believe that you are able to deliver me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I believe that the blood of your Son, Jesus Christ can make me clean and whole. Come on into my heart and help me. Help me, Lord. I trust and believe that through the blood, I can make it. I do believe that I can make it with your help. Oh, Lord, I want your help. Save my soul. Love me, Jesus. I must have your love. Love me, Jesus. Come on into my heart, Jesus! Come in!

If you meant that prayer, He has come.

Praise Him, He is Yours!
